We are delighted to announce that Gartcosh Village Square has been awarded a Level 4 “Thriving” award by Beautiful Scotland. GTRA entered the the Gartcosh Village Square project and were judged on the improvements to the village square. Level 5 is the highest level award with level 4 being scored 69-85%.
The Beautiful Scotland programme is run in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and is judged according to the three pillars of horticultural achievement, environmental responsibility and community participation.

As you all know this past year has been tough and we would like to thank the many volunteers who helped make the village square project possible. We hope that everyone enjoys the improvements to the village square. We have proved that Gartcosh residents can come together to make positive changes.
GTRA will update and share with you the award certificate after the presentation to the committee which is taking place at an event in Edinburgh this October.
