A poem about excessive development
Gartcosh Tenants and Residents Association was invited to attend The Fairer Scotland Duty assessment at NHS Lanarkshire Board headquarters on Thursday.
On Wednesday evening GTRA met with the NHS, at their request, after the consultation presentation held in Gartcosh a few weeks ago.
The Association was set up in January 2018 to oppose the endless new housing developments in the area, particularly the planned large development at Heathfield Farm.
North Lanarkshire Council is having a meeting regarding planning. Hopefully, there can be some actual discussion around planning, as any attempt to discuss it was shut down at recent Local Area Partnership meetings.

NHS Lanarkshire has announced a set of proposals to replace the existing Monklands Hospital in Airdrie. Gartcosh has emerged at this stage as the “highest scoring” option. Glenmavis is also being considered as a new location.
North Lanarkshire Council are holding a Local Area Partnership meeting in Gartcosh Primary on Tuesday 12th June at 6 pm.
North Lanarkshire Council launched a proposal in early 2018 to build a new school to replace the existing Gartcosh Primary.
