Gartcosh Tenants and Residents Association was invited to attend The Fairer Scotland Duty assessment at NHS Lanarkshire Board headquarters on Thursday.
On Wednesday evening GTRA met with the NHS, at their request, after the consultation presentation held in Gartcosh a few weeks ago.
NHS Lanarkshire has announced a set of proposals to replace the existing Monklands Hospital in Airdrie. Gartcosh has emerged at this stage as the “highest scoring” option. Glenmavis is also being considered as a new location.
North Lanarkshire Council launched a proposal in early 2018 to build a new school to replace the existing Gartcosh Primary.
